Techniques of design Since computer aided design has been introduced in the practice of architecture, the effects of the new technologies on the process of designing and building are being discussed. The project focuses on the design methods and technologies developed in the architectural office Gehry Partners. In order to determine how these new technologies transform the process of designing and building, they are compared to those developed in the workshop of the fabbrica at St. Peter, Rome during the Renaissance. Its design practices led to the standardization of representational methods: orthogonal plan, elevation and section.
